Earth Day is Thursday April 22nd 2021
Here are 4 ways to Celebrate Earth Day!
Plant Native Wildflowers. Attract more wildlife into your yard by planting these: Monarch butterflies > plant milkweed, pansies or goldenrod. Bees > plant bee balm, lavender or sage. Hummingbirds > plant foxglove, petunias or lilies.
Invite Animals into your Yard. Provide a source of water, like a birdbath or a small pond. Think about adding a bird feeder, squirrel feeder, hummingbird feeder, or even a bat feeder to your yard.
Go Chemical Free. Pesticides and herbicides can harm wild animals, native plants, trees, pets, and even humans. Make Earth Day the day you stop using chemicals in your yard and try organic methods of weed and pest removal instead.
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Start good habits on Earth Day and carry them through all year long. Avoid items that come in lots of packaging. Bring your own bags to use at the grocery store. Support local growers and producers of food. Use a refillable water bottle.
