About The Event

 The 7 Sacred Grandfather Teachings: Storytelling & Clay Creation Workshop

The Seven Grandfather Teachings are a set of traditional teachings that have been passed down from generation to generation. The seven teachings have been given to the Anishinaabe people to guide them in living a good life, living without conflict and living in peace.

Through storytelling and craft Shannon will share the knowledge of the 7 Sacred Grandfather Teachings to honor the teachings gifted to her by her Anishinaabe Father, Larry ManyHats. After the storytelling, each student will craft their own clay vessel representing one of the 7 Sacred Teachings they learned about, students will then gain a deeper level of understanding to their own unique human experience through the art of journaling their personal involvement with each sacred teaching. This will inspire each person to continue with incorporating the values of the 7 Grandfather Teachings beyond the classroom as…
